Ms. Popper graduated from Dartmouth College in Hanover New Hampshire (1999), attended the University Of Edinburgh
in Scotland (Fall 1997), and graduated with a law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law
(2003).  Melanie is a member of the State Bar of California and the California Employment Lawyers Association.  One of
Melanie's current volunteer projects is establishing Norma Grace Centers for Healing in developing nations of the Caribbean.
 


                                         ARCOLINA PANTO (ATTORNEY)




Arcolina Panto graduated cum laude from New York University with a B.A. in Fine Arts/Art History in 1999.  Experiences
as an undergraduate, including her semester in India, and the year she tutored at a lower Manhattan elementary school with
the America Reads program, taught her lessons about power and privilege in America.  While attending UC Hastings College
of the Law, Arcolina served as a Co-Director at the General Assistance Advocacy Project, providing services for homeless
and marginally housed individuals.  In the spring of 2004, Arcolina studied European law and government at Leiden
University.  Since receiving her J.D. from Hastings in 2004, Arcolina has focused on social justice.

                                            
                                           SHIMEA ANDERSON (OF COUNSEL ATTORNEY)




Shimea Anderson graduated with honors and on the dean's list from University of California at Santa Barbara in 2000. She
completed her J.D. from UC Hastings College of the Law in 2004 and was the recipient of a honors scholarship.  Shimea has
handled Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases and Chatper 13 bankruptcy cases involving pending foreclosures. Shimea has also
defended people who were being sued by their credit card companies.   Shimea teaches at the East Bay Law School.  Shimea
also volunteers through the Volunteer Legal Services Program (VLSP), associated with the San Francisco Bar Association.
