Welcome to our web site, and thank you for taking the time to learn more about our
firm. We represent both individual and non-profit organization clients in the Bay Area,
California.  The goal of our practice is to safeguard people's civil rights and liberties and
to help individuals gain compensation for personal injury violations. We apply rigorous
energy and resourcefulness to every project we accept and our members are dedicated to
your success.  We are also able to offer mediation, negotiation, and other collaborative
services to help you solve your dispute without going to court.
Practice Areas
What makes our firm different from others? Our holistic approach.  As one juris doctor recently put it, "A holistic
lawyer strives to see the whole human being behind the legal issues. This requires active listening on the attorney's
part, to discern both the relevant legal issues, and to determine what is really important to a client-which may be
neither a legal issue nor clearly articulated."  In addition to legal services,
our clients get referrals to local therapists,
bodyworkers, and introduction to workshops which facilitate their healing.
 Litigation is tremendously stressful, and
rather than ignore the underlying needs that prompted the suit (e.g., confronting racism and sexism, setting boundaries
at work, home, or in the consumer sphere), these underlying issues need to be explored in order for the client to
effectively move on.  This is the end goal and purpose of supplementing litigation with outside professionals.

Our practice areas include the following: sexual harassment under a hostile work environment theory, sexual
harassment under a “quid pro quo” theory, sexual orientation harassment, and sex discrimination.  Below is an
explanation and some examples of the different theories:

Sexual Hostile Work Environment: Unwelcome comments, jokes, touching, staring, emails, letters,
telephone calls and other conduct that is offensive to a reasonable woman or person in the plaintiff's position.  The
conduct must also be "severe or pervasive."   Some examples of hostile work environment that we have litigated are the
following:

✔A thirty-five year old, married Black female is told by two lesbians in the workplace, “Your bootie is  so
big, I could set  forty on it.”  She is also called, “Ms. Bootie” and told that she “smells so good.”  The Revelation Law
Firm resolved this matter to the client's satisfaction.

✔A twenty-eight year old single Black female worked in a male-dominated environment in the Bay Area.
Several young men at work referred to her as “hella thick,” stated that they wanted to have intercourse with her, and
made derogatory references to her female reproductive organs.  The Revelation Law Firm resolved this matter to the
client's satisfaction.

Sexual Harassment Under The Quid Pro Quo Theory: This is harassment undertaken by a
supervisor or manager towards an lower-level employee. The supervisor promises a promotion or advancement in the
workplace if the lower-level employee agrees to dates, intimacy, or other conditions related to sex.  This type of
harassment is also prohibited under state and federal law.

Sex Discrimination: Employers are prohibited from distributing job benefits or privileges, and engaging in hiring
and termination practices on the basis of sex.  Some examples of traditional sex discrimination cases we have litigated
are as follows:

✔A middle-aged married White female complains that her supervisor gives favorable vacation time and
other benefits to an employee with whom he is having a romantic relationship.  The female who points out the
favoritism is terminated shortly thereafter.

Sexual Orientation Harassment And Discrimination: We also litigate cases on behalf of gays,
lesbians, and bisexual people who are treated differential in the workplace, whether that means harassment,
discrimination, retaliation, or all of the above.

OUR DRAMATIC VIDEOS

In order to prove harassment and discrimination we hire actors and actress to re-enact specific scenes of harassment
and discrimination for a dramatic and powerful effect.
